Truls Mårtensson (b. 1993, Sweden) makes clay do things your high school art teacher never imagined. Based in Stockholm, he started tinkering with ceramics at UCLA in 2017, then got serious with a BFA from Konstfack. Now working out of the legendary Gustavsberg studio, his coil-built sculptures mix text, imagery, history, and pop culture to poke fun at self-help culture and consumer madness.
