The original U.S. Coast Guard overcoats were often privately purchased by officers, resulting in subtle variations from one example to the next. The Real McCoy’s went back to these vintage garments, recreating the distinctive silhouette and construction with a substantial cotton dobby twill shell, reverse-spun twill lining, urea buttons, and cotton thread throughout.
It’s a straightforward coat, but one with plenty of detail. Generous in proportion, quietly detailed, and made to age beautifully with wear, this makes for the perfect transtional coat as we head into the colder months. Layer up or wear a tee. Either which was you're winning.
