A seamless side-zip wholecut boot, crafted from a single, uninterrupted piece of flawless leather. Because the human foot curves sharply where the leg meets the instep, a flat piece of leather cannot simply be wrapped around a standard shoe last without bunching or wrinkling. The wet leather is stretched over a heavy, curved wooden or metal crimping board (resembling the silhouette of a foot's instep) and secured with specialized clamps or clips.
Working with the seamless front design, the leather avoids sharp, harsh creases. Instead, it breaks in with deep, dramatic rolls across the top of the foot, shaping itself uniquely to the way you walk. This my friends, is beauty in a boot. Not Beauty and the Beast.
