DESCRIPTION
The Type 975 Draft Line Coat starts with the basics: when you draft a new pattern from scratch, you begin with a grid of lines that defines the fundamental shape of the garment.
The idea here was simple, take those lines and make them the design.
The raglan sleeves are built from straight-line diagonals, with another clean line running down the top of the sleeve. But the real story is on the back, where the high shoulder points extend all the way to the top of the collar and down to the hem.
This creates one long, continuous panel through the back and, in turn, dictates the construction of the collar.
Pattern making turned into design. This is what makes the Type 975 so special.

- Rinsed USA custom woven cotton canvas warp & high slub woolen
weft yarn, coarsely spun for flat-weave carpets with rougher wool pushed to outside of garment and smooth cotton reverse
- Three panel hood
- Upside down raglan sleeves
- Draft lines marking high shoulder points extended up and down to create single panel running up the back from hem to top of the collar, removing back neck seam
- Patch hip pockets
- Custom-made black oversized ‘jigger’ buttons, flat two-hole buttons designed to support decorative button from behind soft fabric
